SPIN Research Training

We offer a short-term Research Training program with focus on imaging and neuroscience for those who are interested in pursuing research carrers in neuroscience.

You can have the opportunity to spend your summer working at Magnetic Resonance Innovations side-by-side with some of the leading scientists in the world, in an environment devoted exclusively to biomedical research. 

Internships cover a minimum of two weeks, with students generally arriving in Detroit in May or June. 

Our training program consists of 4 categories:
  • educational activities
  • lab rotations
  • professional development activities
  • "fun time" activities
Eligibility: The Short-term Research Training program Program is for students who are at least twenty-one years of age or older by June 15, 2016. To be eligible, international candidates must meet the visa requirements to travel in the US. International students are eligible to apply if they are enrolled in an accredited college or university as undergraduate, graduate, or professional students. 


Application Procedure: Prospective candidates must apply online. The application is available from mid-November to March 1. It requires submission of a curriculum vitae or resume, a list of coursework, a cover letter describing the applicant's research interests and career goals, and the names and contact information for two references. Candidates may also specify the scientific methodologies or disease/organ systems that interest them.

Candidates will be informed of their selection generally by May 1st.
