Wayne State professors receive $1.1 M grant to study sickle cell disease

Paul Swerdlow, MD professor of Oncology and E. Mark Haacke, PhD professor of Radiology at Wayne State University got $1.1 million in funding from Biogen Idec Inc. to conduct a study in better understanding if blood flow patterns can help develop new treatments for Sickle Cell Disease.
