Meet our leadership
A passion for neuroimaging
We develop trendsetting medical imaging technology including quantitative image post processing software and Magnetic Resonance (MR) sequence design for clinical, research, and pharmaceutical industries.

Our president, Dr. E. Mark Haacke, PhD and our team have a track record of developing, patenting and commercializing MR imaging technologies that have become widely adopted in the fields such as Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA), Susceptibility Weighted Imaging (SWI), Susceptibility Weighted Imaging Mapping (SWIM).

These quantitative imaging software techniques provide Radiologists with new decision making information about neurodegenerative diseases, and have critical applications in the diagnosis, treatment planning and study of diseases such as stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI, and dementia.

Our advanced qMRI software provides Radiologists and Neurology teams with automated methods to extract necessary quantitative information to improve diagnosis and care plans for their patients with neurodegenerative diseases at the point of care, with little time spent interpreting qualitative data.

Focused on continuous innovation

In 2016 we created MR Innovations Inc. to commercialize the software assets of our research subsidiary, Magnetic Resonance Innovations, Inc., which was founded in 1994, by E. Mark Haacke, PhD as a patent holding company.

Over the past 6 years the company has grown into a brain image analysis and technology incubator, providing services to the research and pharmaceutical industries.  As an incubator, Magnetic Resonance Innovations Inc.’s objective has been to drive new technology creation and adoption. Over the past decade, the technologies have received over $3.5 million in investment through industry grants and patent royalties, with an additional $8 million contributed through grants from non-profit organizations. This investment has directly funded the research and development of MR Innovations’ base technologies, and allows the company to focus solely on commercialization of its software platform rather than R&D.

Through years of research and services by our team, we have grown to be recognized as leaders in our field. Our technology and methods have been cited in scientific journals, adopted by the US military radiology community, by MR manufacturers, and the entire radiology community as well as by CROs that work with pharmaceutical industry to validate the efficacy of new drugs.

to improve clinicians’ ability to positively affect the lives of people suffering from neurodegenerative disease.
to create industry standard software for MR image processing used by radiologists, hospitals and researchers to effectively diagnose neurological diseases.
to provide an FDA approved, easy to use and fully automated image processing and quantitative analysis software deployable in an on-demand cloud environment.
